It was a rough night for the Grasshoppers

High-A Greensboro fell to 15-20 on the season following a 12-3 loss against the Bowling Green Hot Rods. Sean Sullivan started for the Grasshoppers and got rocked to the tune of 7 runs on 10 hits and 3 home runs in 3.2 innings pitched.

Logan Hofmann helped settle things down for some time by striking out 2 in 2.1 scoreless inning pitched. However, Michell Miliano and Jack Carey combined to allow 5 runs on 8 hits and a walk in 2.2 innings pitched.

Yoyner Fajardo continued his strong season going 3-for-4 at the top of the Greensboro lineup. Jacob Gonzalez had another hit going 1-for-4, Sammy Siani and Jackson Glenn each had a hit as well.

Matt Gorski went 2-for-4 with yet another home run and 2 RBI. Gorski now had a Pirate system leading 13 home runs on the season and an 1.077 OPS. It’s hard to envision Gorski spending much more time at Greensboro.
