Cash for Clunkers: Brewers Style

facebooktwitterreddit

Looking ahead to the Brewers series is actually fun again.  Just knowing that the Brewers aren’t going to beat the Pirates to a pulp feels quite good, doesn’t it?   Watching this Pirate team is exciting.  I am not afraid to admit that last week, I split viewing time between the Battling New Bucs and the Pittsburgh Steelers.  Yes.  It’s true.

I can’t even begin to provide analysis on what the hell is happening in Milwaukee?  Well, the beer still tastes good fellas, sorry about your luck on the ball diamond.

Brewers GM Doug Melvin has placed a pile of veterans on waivers.  Hmmm, sounds kinda late Doug.

The veterans are Trevor Hoffman, Mike Cameron, Craig Counsell, Jason Kendall, Braden Looper, and Felipe Lopez.  How hard must it be for the Phillies to resist grabbing Hoffman?  Claim time is 1pm today.  Well we know Jason Kendall won’t be picked up no matter how bad they require catching help.  You suck Kendall and there isn’t a team in baseball that will bite on your old ass.  Please someone prove me wrong!

Check this out from Ken Rosenthaland  Ken at Reviewing the Brewalways does a nice job in giving us an inside peek at the hated division foe.

The Brewers owe Jeff Suppan $12.5 million next season.  Since last September, Suppan has made 26 starts, his record is 5-11 with a 5.77ERA.  After paying all, but $1.75 million of  Bill Hall’s $10.5 million contract.  Sorry Suppan, I don’t see it happening.

More great Brewers news coming soon Pirate fans.  Stay tuned.
