Report: Pirates Putting Pedal Down On Clint Hurdle

Today Ken Rosenthal told Pirates fans the news we were all waiting for; the push is on by the Pittsburgh Pirates to get Clint Hurdle as their skipper.  Apparently someone in the Pirates organization decided that it was important to get a manager under contract.  Since their favorite guy is getting courted by the NY Mets, the laws of attraction we spoke of this morning must have kicked in.

We aren’t sure what the rush is, but here is what Rosenthal and Tracy Ringlosby had to say:

After the story was released Rosenthal sent this tweet.  Great.  So Hurdle got what he wanted by using the Mets.  Of course the Mets are thrilled as it would appear Terry Collins is their pick although interviews are still being conducted in the Mets manager search.

My hunch is the next post we will have on the topic is what time the Pirates announce the press conference.

A few days ago we put together a video of the interview Clint Hurdle (and Jeff Banister) conducted with the Pirates. Click below for Step Brothers Video.
