Pittsburgh Pirates Snubbed Again By MLB And Victoria’s Secret Pink Line

Last year we swore to God the Pittsburgh Pirates were involved in something hot. Victoria’s Secret models were in my dreams. But it was just that, a dream. A hot dream. With MLB having 45 percent of its’ fans from the hot female market, why in the name of heaven wouldn’t the Bucs force their way into this dream deal? Ugh.

The MLB teams who were savvy enough to be involved in year one of the popular venture were the Angels, Cardinals, Cubs, Dodgers, Mets, Padres, Phillies, Red Sox, Twins, White Sox and Yankees. What the hell was that? Only the sexy people? Anyway, as they say in the music business, Victoria’s Secret will not be coming to Pittsburgh until next year.

It never ceases to amaze me, how MLB creates seperation in its’ business models. Why would it ever make sense to exclude teams?  New teams added this year according to MLBP and Victoria Secret were Arizona, Baltimore, Cleveland, Colorado, Detroit, Milwaukee, San Francisco, Seattle, Tampa Bay, Texas, and Washington.

Nonetheless, the collection launched last year is hot as ever in more than 100 Victoria ’s Secret stores spanning each of these teams’ markets, as well as on http://victoriassecret.com. Victoria ’s Secret PINK is a fully articulated and internationally recognized lifestyle collection specifically for young women.

That sure sounded like a ticket buying target market to us last year and did again this year.
