Pittsburgh Pirates Caffeine

All the investment spent in the cage is paying dividends for Kevin Correia who went 2-for-2 against the Red Sox with two RBI.

The Pittsburgh Pirates were

able to knock off the Boston Red Sox today 7-5. Kevin Correia had an acceptable outing, but he also contributed some offense for the Bucs with two hits. Maybe all that golf is paying off for the right hander from California.

We hear chatter that LHP Garrett Olson is expected to arrive on the Bradenton dance floor today.

The Pirates need lefties, we trust Olson is with us for many, many days. The Photoshops can only get better.

Two things to think about today:

Does Chuck have it wrapped up?  The Bucs take on the Astros at 1:05pm today. Charlie Morton gets the start. Evan Meek, Mike Crotta and Chris Leroux are also expected to pitch for Pittsburgh.

As Opening Day approaches, don’t look now but  the Chicago Cubs are bleeding runs.  Please. Continue.

McCutchen. Wow. Would certainly hope so.

Nice to see Tim Alderson did well against the upper level New York Yankees prospects. Maybe there is a Santa Claus. 87-89mph too. Robbie Grossman pumped up. Justin Wilson throwing hard. Jordy Mercer raking. All of these are good indications for Buccos fans!

And remember, it was against the Yankees. The team Luis Heredia dreams about…

Just in case you missed it, Tim Alderson when we saw him a few weeks ago:

Raise the Jolly Roger is very sad today. Sorry about Pitt last night.  But how about those Penn State Nittany Lions?  NCAA 2011 Wrestling Champions

Congrats Penn State!

RTJR has some interesting news about Anthony Rendon.  He  has cooled…relatively speaking.   Check out all of his production this season:
