Daniel McCutchen
of the Pittsburgh Pirates is off to an incredible start in his 2011 campaign. He has allowed just one earned run in his 17 innings pitched. Maybe it’s the flowing locks?
McCutchen has held the opposition near the Mendoza line so far this season and has surrendered only 12 hits in the 58 at-bats he has worked. He has also allowed just four walks in those 17 innings and one was intentional.
Cutch stormed out of the gate and didn’t allow an earned run in his first 13 innings pitched. The first run he allowed wsa unearned on May 8. .
Today it was learned that White Cutch will be the Bucs new short reliever replacing King of the Scrapheap Chris Resop. Nice move. Resop was struggling with his delivery last we heard. This is big news for McCutchen and quite a testament of how hard is working to develop.
Don’t cut the hair.
