Pirates Break Out The Lumber For Paulie

The Pittsburgh Pirates kept

rolling with a 10-0 romp over the Chicago Cubs.  Paul Maholm had the three-hit complete game shutout and only threw 91 pitches, only 25 were balls.  Control freak.  He was nothing short of brilliant, and was perfect into the fifth.

With the victory the Pirates, oh my, the Bucs sucked the past two seasons….the Pirates sealed their seventh road series win of the season.  In 2009 and 2010, the Buccos won that many road series combined.

Ronny Cedeno had a three-run blast. The most interesting Pittsburgh Pirate player is staying thirsty in his pursuit to maintain consistency.  Cedeno has stifled the talk of finding a replacement for him at shortstop that was rampant earlier in the season.

Andrew McCutchen, Chris Snyder, and Lyle Overbay also hit bombs as the Bucs finally got some offensive support for Paulie.

Back to the grill.  Back to the coldies.  Back to the sun.

Keep enjoying this great baseball and keep safe this holiday.

Steve Pearce left the game with soreness in his calf.  Ladies and Gentlemen, Brandon Wood.  Like it or not.
