Jason Grilli Is Making a Big Decision, We Just Don’t Know When

Gary Sheffield’s client Jason Grilli has narrowed down the possible destinations to four teams.  The Pittsburgh Pirates General Manager Neal Huntington is hopeful Grilli will re-sign in Pittsburgh.

The deadline was 10am.   It’s now 11:15am.  Work it Gary Sheffield, work it.

Whispers of three year deals being floated sounds like it is the hold-up in the talks.  I can’t remember the tweet, but Sheffield told reporters he would have a deal done yesterday.

To give Grilli a three-year deal, a team would really be rolling the dice.

Ken Rosenthal says the teams are the Blue Jays–seriously, why would anyone sign a deal to go to Toronto and be taxed to hell and back?  The Chicago Cubs and San Francisco Giants are in the mix as well.

The latest update now has the San Francisco Giants out of the picture.

We ARE DOWN TO THREE!

#Pirates GM: “We feel we made a very fair offer to Jason (Grilli). If it doesn’t, we still wish him success.”

If a club goes three years, it looks like Grilli will go, but if not he will stay with Hurdle as we thought all along.
