According to Charlie Wilmoth of Bucs Dugout the Pirates are actively interested in trading for Joaquin Benoit.

The Pirates had three players appear in the all star game on Tuesday night. Jess Myers of the Tribune Review wrote a piece about it here.

It was a short week for the Pirates, nonetheless in their only series of the week, they came away with a key sweep of the visiting Colorado Rockies. With multiple losses by Cincinnati, St. Louis and Milwaukee, the Pirates now find themselves only one game out of first place.
