Shaun White Wicked Face Plant at Winter X Games 14 [VIDEO]

Shaun White is known as the Flying Tomato. White came into X Games 14 fresh from winning four of five qualifiers at the US Snowboard Competition in Park City during which he nailed a Double McTwist 1260. (Unprecedented) Last night under a full moon, White was nailing practice run after practice run as he attempts to do what has never been done before, a three-peat at Winter X Pipe. Then disasater struck. White french kissed the halfpipe launching his helmet back into the pipe as White stared straight up at that moon for a brief second before dragging his tongue down the pipe wall. Broken neck? Broken Tomato? Jaw? All three?

Nahhh. The animal is alive. White who has been training at his own custom made halfpipe carved into a backwoods mountain in Silverton Colorado came right back to world domination with a 95.33 in his first run. White added more drama to the event helping the late night ESPN ratings and keeping the Aspen faithful by a washed out second run… it wouldn’t matter. Nobody could touch White’s first run.
The Flying Tomato is made of SOLID gold. He made history. “I think that trick has a mind of it’s own…it only wants to land once…I am going to change that,” White said confidently after winning his third straight Pipe Gold. Ahh, just think Vancouver is only days away.
