Pirates Caffeine: Kyle McPherson Continues To Toy With A-Level Hitters

Dominant

Kyle McPherson highlights the look around the minors this morning.  He had another fine outing last night going seven innings, striking out six and of course allowing no walks.  The Marauders took down the Miracle to give Kyle his first win to go with his 1.14ERA.  Jarek Cunningham had three more doubles and Robbie Grossman homered for Bradenton.

A cool look at Mac from Terry.  Clipped below is his excellent article about the outing last night.  We especially enjoyed the details about Kyle’s curveball early in the game.

In cold and foggy Toledo, Rudy Owens struggled throwing 87 pitches in getting strapped with his first loss.

Altoona went 15 innings and was victorious over Richmond 11-5. The Curve relief pitchers went ten innings without allowing a run.

Starling Marte keeps on raking with three more hits to raise the average to .364.
