New York Yankees at Pittsburgh Pirates, Spring Training Game Four

The New York Yankees

roll into Bradenton today to take on the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Newly signed centerfielder Andrew McCutchen will certainly gather much of the attention this afternoon, we trust he can gather a few knocks and lead the Bucs to a victory. They will be facing big lefty C.C. Sabathia who the Pirates have had some luck against in the past.

We will be watching Kevin Correia closely. If anyone gets to see the game, tweet us how hard he is throwing. When we saw him at Pirate City, he looked like the pitcher that the Bucs had in the early part of 2011. He was throwing effortlessly. One would have to believe the time off at the end of the season could only stregthen his arm. Fingers crossed.

It’s only spring training, but I think this is beoming a habit.  Is there a really sound reason that shortstop Clint Barmes is in the two hole in Clint Hurdle’s lineup?

Nick Evans buried in the eight spot.  Yikes.
