We were at the game on Sunday, so we missed Pittsburgh Steelers running backs coach Kirby Wilson go into full blown motivational speaker mode.  But thank the good Lord he did.  We love his style too.

Here is what we can make out of it…..

“Do what I’m asking you to do — it works! For fifteen years it’s been working! Do what I’m coaching you to do, alright? Don’t make up anything. I’m begging you.

Just do the right thing, guys. We’re better than this football team.

We’ll ground these guys up and turn them into little bitty Eagles meatballs. But you gotta do what I’m coaching you to do!”

Wilson has coached the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New England Patriots, and the Washington Redskins.

The Steelers hired Wilson back in January 2007 as the running backs coach after Dick Hoak retired. He was hired when Mike Tomlin took over the team after Bill Cowher resigned early in 2007.

Wilson knows a thing or two about motivation.   If you recall in January, Wilson was burnt badly when a fire broke out in his home in Seven Fields.  Wilson had to be airlifted where he was hospitalized for the serious burns.  We watched the ESPN video about what he has overcome and we recommend if you get a chance to check it out.

We’re looking forward to a few more speeches from Wilson this year.
