The Oddsmakers Have Spoken: Pirates Sit at 83.5

The non-believers in the Pittsburgh Pirates have spoken…again.  You might recall that we were in Las Vegas a few days ago and threw some money down on some of our own MLB picks.  But for now we will save that for another day.  The big news today were the online odds were released by the big guys in Las Vegas and believe it or not, the Pirates have another low 2014 win total.  The Bucs came out  at 83.5 wins for 2014.

But don’t worry, last year Bovada swung and missed in a huge way when they picked the Bucs at 77.5 wins.  We all know how that turned out and congratulations to all those that held winning tickets.

The one worrisome part of the line the computer spit out is it stacked the NL Central with wins.  The  St. Louis Cardinals are pegged at 90.5, the Cincinnati Reds are at 84.5, the Bucs check in here with their 83.5, the Milwaukee Brewers are closer than we like at 79.5 and the Cubs are targeted at 69.5.
