Pirates Master Plan Study Announced.

The Pittsburgh Pirates master plan development has been announced.  It happened rather quickly this morning.  We received an email from the Pirates minutes after Michael Manserino tweeted from the Sports Facilities & Franchises and Ticketing Symposium about the news Pirates President Frank Coonelly announced.

Both the tweet and Pirates master plan study are listed below.

HEADLINE: Please help us develop PNC Park’s Master Plan

Dear Tom Smith,

PNC Park is in its 14th season! We are proud to play in what many believe to be the best ballpark in America. To that end, we are committed to enhancing and improving not only the ballpark but the overall fan experience. We are currently in the early stages of developing a Master Plan for the next generation of PNC Park. We have engaged Populous, formerly HOK, to assist us in the development of our Master Plan.

We are reaching out to different segments of our fan base so that we can secure input from as many different perspectives as possible as we formulate that Plan. Once developed, the Master Plan will serve as a road map as we begin to implement specific improvements to PNC Park over the next several years. We value your insight and opinion and would like to invite you to join us for a 90-minute session to discuss your ideas about what PNC Park should look like and how we can enhance your experience for the next 15-20 years.

There will be six (6) sessions taking place at PNC Park on Tuesday, June 17 and Wednesday, June 18. If you are interested in participating (unfortunately this invitation is nontransferable), please complete the very brief survey to determine when the session will take place and if there is still space available. If the session date and time is agreeable please RSVP by completing the survey. Deadline to RSVP is June 12 but spots will be filled on a first-come first-served basis, so sign up now. If a session is not available or the time inconvenient, we certainly value your input and provide an opportunity within the survey to give it. For those that do participate in the sessions, as a “thank you” we will provide four tickets to one of a selection of Pirates games.

Should you have any questions please direct them to our Customer Service staff who can be reached via email at talkback@pirates.com.

We appreciate your past and future support and look forward to seeing you at the ballpark

Let’s Go Bucs!
