Short-Season A West Virginia Black Bears

The West Virginia Black Bears finished the week by going 7-0 and have now won nine straight!  They won over the Doubledays on Monday in Auburn. Then, they returned home and swept a three game series with the Brooklyn Cyclones. Finally, they followed that series with another three game sweep over the Staten Island Yankees.

Players that stood out:

OF Logan Hill is currently hitting .339 with an OPS of .946. He had seven hits, three RBIs, five walks, six strikeouts and four stolen bases.

OF Ty Moore is currently hitting .333 with an OPS of .837. He had nine hits, three RBIs, two walks, four stolen bases and three strikeouts.

C Daniel Arribas is currently hitting .313 with an OPS of .776. He had seven hits, two RBIs, one walk and five strikeouts.

1B Albert Baur is currently hitting .240. He had three hits, four RBIs and four strikeouts.

3B Kevin Kramer is currently hitting .231. He had five hits, two RBIs, three stolen bases, two walks, and six strikeouts.

SS Kevin Newman is currently hitting .227 . He had seven hits, three RBI, six stolen bases, one walk and one strikeout.

2B Mitchell Tolman is currently hitting .241 with three hits, one RBI, three walks, and three strikeouts.

RHP JT Brubaker picked up two wins this week. He pitched a total of eleven innings, allowing three hits, zero earned runs, two walks and nine strikeouts.

RHP Dario Agrazal leads the team with four wins and thirty-seven innings pitched.

RHP Jonathan Minier leads the team with thirty-one strikeouts.

LHP Andy Otamendi, RHP Julio Eusebio, LHP Sean Keselica are tied for the team led with three saves each.

RHP Nick Hibbing leads the team with a 1.50 ERA. He has thrown 18.0 innings.

RHP John Holdzkom is currently with the team on a rehab assignment. He has seen action in two games. He has pitched two innings and struck out three.

A Look At Next Week:

The Black Bears are enjoying the off day on Monday. On Tuesday, they will begin a three game series at the Tri-City ValleyCats. They will continue the road trip with a three game weekend series at the Connecticut Tigers.
