Low-A Bradenton gets shutout in loss
The Bradenton Marauders fell to 15-15 on the season in a 5-0 loss against the Jupiter Hammerheads. As one may expect in a shutout loss it was a brutal night for the Marauder offense in the loss.
Bradenton had just two base runners in the loss. Both base runners came via catcher Geovanny Planchart. Planchart was 2-for-3, while the rest of the Marauder lineup was a combined 0-for-26. Not great!
While Planchart had the team’s only two hits, he also had two costly errors for the Marauders. The Planchart errors contributed to starting pitcher Carlos Jimenez allowing 4 runs, with only 1 of the being earned in 2.2 innings pitched. Jimenez walked 5 batters, but allowed just a single hit while striking out 6.
Cristian Charle was first up out of the Marauder bullpen, pitching 3.1 innings. In his 3.1 innings pitched Charle allowed an unearned run on 3 hits, a walk and 5 strikeouts. Dante Mendoza and Wilkin Ramos followed Charle, combining to allow a hit while striking out 3 in 2 scoreless innings pitched.
