The Pittsburgh Pirates record is 4-4.

When a Pirates starter goes six innings the record is 4-2. Guess what when he doesn’t?

When the Pirates are leading the game after seven innings, the Pirates are 3-0.

When the opposition throws someone that is a pitcher’s name  that you remember from the past, we are 0-3. When they don’t guess what the Pirates record is?

If you think DY as he was called in LA is just another pickup, take a few moments and check out some Dodger Blogs. Don’t feel like it?  Here is the recap I took from reading several.  He made quite an impression on the fans.  He was a family guy that was down to earth.  Nice arm.  He was a buddy with Andy LaRoche.  He had as many pinch hits as ManCaveich did last year, 14.  And the Dodgers still signed ManCaveich to pinch hit, that didn’t make many fans happy.  Most were excited that he gets an opportunity–wow, that is that west coast attitude I guess.  Bottom line, the kid can play.  And has a nice bat.

The matchups are set for the Braves series. I hear Chipper might miss a game?
