We head to DC today to check out the world champion Phillies. My scouting report is weak.  No excuses.  It was a youthful mistake.  We just didn’t hit.  I credit him for always getting me out with Nyjer and Freddy on, anyway enough excuses….  Here come the Rockies.  They are 13-20.  Not one of the starting pitchers looks overpowering to us.  LHP Jorge De La Rosa (0-3, 3.53) vs. LHP Paul Maholm (3-1, 4.06); Saturday, 7:05 p.m., RHP Aaron Cook (2-1, 5.02) vs. RHP Ian Snell (1-5, 4.50); Sunday, 1:35 p.m., RHP Ubaldo Jimenez (3-4, 4.73) vs. LHP Zach Duke (4-3, 2.52)

An interesting story in the PG, regarding a possible $4 million dollar Dominican SS Miguel Angel Sano.  Bone grafts to verify his age?  [Post Gazette]

John Clayton amazes me with this article.  Ten best offseasons in the NFL.  The SB champs keep the band together with the exception of a few harmonica players and don’t make the list?   [ESPN]

Pujols biggest season ever?  Not if the middle of the order doesn’t return soon….I still can’t believe we let that one of the hook last night.  Check out the story on Albert here, well it’s a paragraph.  [Sharapova’s Thigh]

And finally, this guy has a good point, make the WWE filled with stats like MLB.  [Camel Clutch]
