Pittsburgh Pirates 3B Neil Walker has quickly shown he didn’t come all the way to Venezuela to look at the scenery.  Walker has at least one hit in each of the first three games since play began on Friday.

Walker is playing for Bravos de Margarita (hell, let’s drink to that team name!) has four hits in eleven at bats, a walk and an RBI.  Three of Walker’s hits were doubles.  He has also walked twice and scored three runs.

You can follow Walker’s progress at this site.  [MLB]

Other Pirates in the Venezulean League assigned to the Bravos de Margarita Club  include  RHPs Edgar Guiterrez and Wilson Ortiz and OF Jonel Pacheo.
