Pirates Unveil Club Cambria at PNC Park

The Pittsburgh Pirates will open an upscale luxury members-only lounge on April 5, 2010.  Club Cambria is located on the private suite level of the ballpark.  It’s quite an expansive layout consisting of four standard suites on the third base side, allowing everyone to bask in the beautiful Pittsburgh skyline while watching the Bucs trounce the opposition.

It features lavish stadium style soft seating with Cambria natural quartz countertops, bar tops, tabletops and tile throughout.  My take on Club Cambria is it’s a great setting for enjoying a game with family, networking with fellow fans, entertaining clients, employees or associates.

The Club will have a private and full service bar to go along with private restrooms for members and their guests.  The membership allows the same exact seat within the Club for all Pirates home games this season in addition to options for concerts and playoff seating.

Club Cambria Seating is definently priced on the low side as a gourmet buffet and non-alcholic beverages are included in the price of the seat.  The Club is all the rage in a number of NBA arenas and ballparks.  Perhaps it’s the result of overestimates on the number of suites required.  Or more likely the result of corporations downsizing sales efforts.  In turn, the demand for suites has also dropped.

It’s an interesting solution.  Tired of filling a suite with 15 to 20 clients, friends, and/or family for each Pirate game, one can focus on one client, a spouse, or that first game with your child.  If you google Club Cambria you can see many images of Clubs elsewhere in professional sports.

Club Cambria will open one and a half hours prior to the game time.  Food will be served throughout the game. Desserts and snacks are available from the conclusion of buffet until the end of the game.

Row A per seat investment is $150.  Row B is $135 and Row C is $125.  Full Season breaks down to $12,150 in front row A, $10,935 in the second row, while $10,125 gets you a seat for every game in the third row.  Shoot my girl Terri Smith an email at Terri.Smith@Pirates.com   to finalize your payment method.  From the looks of the buzz surrounding the Club last night, don’t wait too long because this is a hot ticket especially considering the future of the Bucs as well as the numerous concerts coming to the best ballyard on the planet.
