Russell Crowe the Pirate Fan Caption Contest: Win Two Tix to Watch Dodgers Get Crushed Opening Day

Pittsburgh Pirate fans we have brought back the nearly famous RumBunter caption contest featuring Russell Crowe.  Everyone knows Crowe is a huge fan of the Bucs because the Pirates have faced similar struggles to New Zealand’s biggest bad boy.  We like the guy because his dad was a hotel manager. It’s not an easy life.  Crowe was in town filming a movie and, of course, was caught sporting the sweetest logo in baseball.

So let’s have some fun with it again.

You know the drill, give us the funniest line you got in the comments.  For the winner, we have two box seat tickets with the RumBunter faithful on opening day. (We promise to be on our worst behavior.)   If you can’t make it to the opener, we won’t question your fanhood, we have a sweet LA Dodgers hat for you instead.  No, just kidding we have people on Army bases in the Middle East reading this garbage, so we will send this Pirates jacket if your one of our beloved readers from out of town.

We are heading to DC to kick some Greenbrier ass and also check out the Pens tomorrow night at The Verizon Center, thus your comedic deadline is, Thursday at 9pm.  Your name will be in the headline Friday.  Enough with the rules!  Stop reading this crap and lay down the comedy.

We will be on HotStove.com talking Pirates tomorrow.   When it gets posted we will throw up a link for you.

Octavio Dotel is going to be fine. Joel Hanrahan will be on the DL as we guess he has to be about ten days behind schedule.  Neither will be traded to the Twins, in spite of their desperate need for a closer.

Rocco had a great first Extra Innings, it sucks we can’t link the podcast because it can’t be found yet.

Kevin Hart improved yesterday, but was sent to AAA along with Neil Walker this morning.  Daniel McCutchen pitched well yesterday.  Most importantly no one was hurt today.  How bad would one injury hurt the Bucs?  Bad thoughts, bad thoughts.

Javier Lopez got this club made.  Jeff Clement has impressed with his approach to learning the defensive side of the game.

Speaking of tickets, Kristy Loves Her Buccos got her season tickets.  How cool are those pics?

WHYGAVS had the freaking post of the year with his behind the scenes tour of Pirate City.
