The Pittsburgh Pirates will host the 2010 season opener at 1:35 against the LA Dodgers in less than 48 hours.  Gates will open at 11:30am Monday with pregame ceremones (we will have all that information in our Sunday evening post.)  Here is the information for traffic and parking around PNC Park.

The pregame ceremonies scheduled to begin at approximately 12:45pm.

The Roberto Clemente Bridge will close to vehicle traffic at 10am.

North Shore parking near PNC Park will open at 930am.

If you are planning on arriving after 11:30 am, use one of these options or you will be stuck like the RumBunter bus was last year.  Downtown commuters and fans should use Port Authority service, both the bus routes and the “T” will get you downtown from all over the area.  Get off at Wood Street station and walk across the Clemente bridge if you plan on using the “T”  The Gateway Center station will be closed.  Park downtown and walk over the Clemente bridge for the easy access.

If you have the family with you, use the Gateway Clipper Fleet.  The new one-way fare of $2.50 can’t be beat.  The real little ones (30 inches) that fit under the turnstiles are free.

The Rivers Casino Garage is available free in the self-park garage, or valet for $6 bucks.  One catch, everyone in your whip must be over 21 years old to enter the garage.  The Fulton Avenue lot will also be available which is located on the North side of the West End bridge.

Let us know if you have any questions, as always RumBunter is here for you.
