Pirates Young Arms Continue To Throw Well In Arizona

facebooktwitterreddit

Don’t look now, but the Pirates are a team that is dying for some positive news.  And some pitching.

They are getting the pitching thanks to  AAron Pribanic and Justin Wilson in the Arizona Fall League.   The positive news?  Well, uh…Freddy and the Giants are up 2-0?  That doesn’t count.  Well, the Bucs haven’t hired a manager yet—save that payroll Bob!   Wait….when Bob just names Banister the manager, the total payroll wouldn’t increase….jackpot!

Let’s just keep looking for positive news at the big league level, until then check out the work Pribanic and Wilson did yesterday in the AFL

Pribanic has been perfect.

Pribanic is seriously holding hitters to a .148 average?   Three ground outs against some tough hitters in the fourth inning was great.  But I enjoyed his fifth inning when he allowed two singles and then slammed the door by getting a groundout and his best friend to end the inning.

Good news is hard to come by around Pittsburgh.  I am riding this shit out.

Wilson is an interesting player.  Not perfect, but could he be a future innings eater?  Check out his current player page below….

Josh Harrison had another double yesterday among his three hits.  He’s been killing.  And he played LF.  Who is he?  Kurt Bevacqua?

Two more hits and a walk for Mercer.  Sanchez with a walk, but held hitless and three stolen bases allowed….hmmm, let’s keep an eye on this to see a trend.

With our team out of action and the other teams on the road, life sucks. But heh, The Suburban Sticks don’t.  Enjoy your day, be on the look out for our pictures from the Pittsburgh Pirates  2nd Annual Halloween  party….should be up sometime today… Enjoy your day.
