Go to about 2:21 to avoid listening to the four letter sports announcers and watch Mr. T sporting the red, white and blue like few people can…

Matt Capps has nothing broken, fractured, or crushed. The bullrider will have a bruise for a while, but his ‘negative’ xray is really positive news for the Pirates.
It was a wild game. Freddy Sanchez goes 6-for-6, Matt Capps gets smashed with a Geovanny Soto liner on the bone near his elbow that caused him to miss several games earlier this month, even Mr. T couldn’t help the Cubs.
A few things we found interesting:
JR was going to give Freddy the night off and changed his mind at the last minute.
18 hits!
Paul Maholm is winless in his past six starts. His ERA is 5.71 over that span. Is he knee bothering him?
Tom Gorzelanny got the win. Did you see how upset Joe Kerrigan was when Gorzo walked the leadoff batter in the seventh? JR flew out of the dugot, in came Evan Meek and….you guessed it, he walked Soto. It will be interesting to see what happens with Gorzo, he and Kerrigan seem like oil and water….
Jesse Chavez has dropped his ERA to 1.83 as he left both baserunners (the walks from Gorzo and Meek) stranded in the seventh. 18 of 22 appearances have been scoreless from Chavez.
John Grabow had a six pitch eighth inning.
We think Freddy Sanchez would have made quite a softball player. Maybe when this professional baseball ‘stuff’ is over…WOW! He doubled in the the first (thats 17 which leads the NL), homered in the fourth, and singled in third, sixth, seventh, and ninth inning.
How close was that ball that Aaron Miles his off Sean Burnett in the ninth from being a walk off home run? Whew.
Every position player got a hit. Here is the beautiful box score.
Speaking of softball…did you see the White Sox put up 17 runs last night?
