Three Things We Want From Penguins Capitals Game

facebooktwitterreddit

The Pittsburgh Penguins

take on the Washington Capitals in our nation’s capital tonight.

1.  A Penguins victory is obviously the most important thing we want tonight.  The Capitals have won five straight against the Pens.   But we expect a backup fans/light crowd tonight as most of the townsfolk have gone back to their real home for the holiday.

The fans that have been given tickets for tonights game will head to the exits if the Pens can put points on the scoreboard early.  Our goal is to to take over the Verizon Center, so clear it out by the start of the third period Pens.

2.  This really bothers us.  We want to see Sidney Crosby (564) leap over Alex Ovechkin (568).  We read in some rag down here that since 2005-6, Ovechkin is leading Sid on the scoring charts.  Tonight we want that to change.  Ovechin hasn’t scored in seven games.  The Pens need to make it eight tonight.  Five points for Sid.  Zero points for the guy who lives with his Mom.

3.  We want to see Mike Green on his Harley on the way to the game.  We want to hit him with some dirty PA slushballs.  Right in his pretty Uggs slippers.

If you missed Green’s Harley.  Here you go.  Helmet tip to the legendary thepensblog.
