Adelaide Bite Reach ABL Championship

The Bite did it.

It took nearly five hours and fifteen innings, but the team snatched victory from Sydney.  Quincy Latimore was 0-for-5 with a walk, stolen base and a run scored as the Adelaide Bite outlasted Sydney to advance to Perth.  The Bite will resume play Friday against the Heat in the championship series of the Australian Baseball League.

The recap for Latimore:

Struckout in the first.  Popout to short in the fourth.  In the sixth Latimore put a sacrifice bunt down and reached base eventually scoring on a triple from Tom Brice.

In the eighth inning, Latimore was hit by a pitch, stole second base, but was stranded in scoring position and the game was tied at three as it would be until the 15th inning.

With the bases loaded and two outs in the ninth inning, Latimore who delivered twice without two outs in the preceding game, grounded out to second base.

Latimore flew out in the 12th inning.   In the 14th inning, he was intentionally walked with a runner on third base.   In the 15th inning, he was called out on strikes.
