Pirates Welcome Back Zach Duke With Special Promotion

that uncomfortable moment we have all been waiting for is nearly upon us. The former Pittsburgh Pirates welcome mat is back on the mound at PNC Park.
Zach Duke, who was so brutal to watch for so long, returns to PNC Park as an Arizona Diamondbacks starter tonight. Watching Duke pitch last year was very similar to seeing Gary Busey at one of those celebrity roasts. You know sooner or later something bad, something really bad was going to happen.
God I don’t miss interviews like this….
After the season, maybe the Pirates felt the same way we did, as they somehow traded Duke for Cesar Valdez. Most Pirates fans said a hearty good riddance to the left hander who once showed such promise, but soon became prone to giving up hits in large quanities.
We’re praying the Pirates put up ten on the old left hander tonight as Paul Maholm and his 2.84 ERA at PNC Park heads to the hill against his good friend. Maholm has pitched well this season, but was roughed up for a season high seven runs in the soul ripping come from ahead loss to the New York Mets.
