Pirates Orioles: Kevin Correia Looks To Take Series For Bucs

Kevin Corriea goes to the bump for the Pittsburgh Pirates today. Last night he was rocking a sweatshirt as his teammates dripped sweat in one of the most humid days we’ve had all season. Kipper at PST said he is working on a cotton sauna trend.

Correia is a cool cat for sure.  During his last two starts his teammates have scored two runs for him.  He never shows emotion though deep inside we have to believe he may have been thinking about hanging Lyle Overbay with his hoodie string.

Or maybe Correia was sitting in the concrete dugout built by the cheapest builder thinking about giving up 23 earned runs in over 36 innings at PNC Park this year.  Watch out for Correia today.

Somebody rub this for him dammit

He will face off with Zach Britton, the starter for the Orioles.

Britton is a quality pitcher and he should go deep in the game too. Thus, we feel this one comes down to the bullpens.   The Bucs pen should be in good shape with a scheduled off day tomorrow before the furries of Beantown arrive.

Andrew McCutchen looks like he is about to blow up. He showed patience at the plate last night and was an on base machine. Cutch has just been dominant at PNC Park this season.

The best opportunity for the Pirates is if they can control Adam Jones. Maybe Jones can leave his Superman cape in the dugout with John Russell today, the O’s centerfielder made a phenomenal catch of a Garrett Jones gap shot yesterday.

The businessmen will be in for a good game today.  Our pick says the Bucs need to scratch out four runs, let the pen get it to Hanrahan.  If that can happen, raise it.  Another Pirates series win.

Prepare for the  Furry Invastion/Red Sox fans.
