Jeff Karstens Hurls Pittsburgh Pirates into First-Place

Unreal.

Just unreal.

Pittsburgh Pirates starter Jeff Karstens worked so fast that nothing the Houston Astros did could stop him. He looked like a zombie on a mission.

In four consecutive innings last night at Minute Maid Park, Karstens had single-digit pitches in an inning.

In the end, the mission for Karstens was simple. Karstens was out to put his team into first-place in the NL Central. It worked.

We have fun with photoshops on this blog, but Karstens is really earning the respect of Pirates fans. We trust Keith Law keeps hating.

We give Pirates manager Clint Hurdle some shit from time to time, but his strategy was evident. Steal bases. Look at that first inning. Alex Presley steals second. Chase d’Arnaud flies out, Presley moves to third. Neil Walker drives him in.

One zip Bucs.

It would be the only run Karstens would need.
