Pirates Fall 1-0. We Have No Idea How to Explain This Clint Hurdle Picture
By Tom Smith

We are starting
to worry about Pittsburgh Pirates manager Clint Hurdle. We mean, starting to worry…more.
The Pirates are in the midst of a serious slide. It seems like the baseball Gods are handing out lessons and the Pirates just refuse to get out of line.
The Bucs lost 1-0 last night when Justin Upton hit a. broken. bat. homerun. Pirates starter Jeff Karstens was masterful. After the game Clint Hurdle had this to say as a voodoo doll peered over Hurdle’s left shoulder ( picture above.)
"Jeff was very, very good today. It just turned out that their guy was better."
Ian Kennedy struckout the last six Pirates batters he faced and he cruised through eight innings piling up even more strikeouts as he reached a career high in K’s. Kennedy also got his 20th victory with another strong effort. The Upton homer was the difference maker in the game.
Ok, pass the pins for the voodoo doll.
Karstens has allowed one earned run in 22 innings over three career starts versus the Diamondbacks. Freaking sick.
