The Candidacy Begins Tonight: It’s Over Philadelphia

The Philadelphia Phillies magical little run of two consecutive wins will end tonight. Write it down.

The Phillies will run out a 34-year old lefty named Raul Valdes to the bump. The Pittsburgh Pirates counter with superstar on the rise James McDonald.

Valdes has some nice strikeout numbers, but come one Charlie. None of those have come in the bigs. The guy has one career start?? That’s all you got for us?

Preparation for Destruction begins now. James McDonald and AJ Burnett start their candicacy tonight. JMac is up first followed by his running mate A.J. Burnett.

McDonald is coming off a complete game victory as he makes his 15th start of the season. His platform is based on dominance.

McDonald has three losses this season, his offense was shut out in each of those games. That won’t happen tonight.

JMac has 83 strikeouts in his 90.1 innings pitched. He has allowed just 62 hits. 62. Insane.

McDonald is a strong, yet under the radar candidate for the All-Star game.  He needs a strong outing tonight.   He will deliver.
