Starling Marte waits in the on-deck circle.

The undefeated Pittsburgh Pirates host the Atlanta Braves today at McKechnie Field.

James McDonald will start for the Bucs against Julion Teheran for the Braves. We are on site, but the game will be on the radio back home. It’s a 1pm start on KDKA-AM 1020

Starling Marte will leadoff in left field.

Russell Martin with bat second and catch.

Andrew McCutchen will hit third and play CF.

Pedro Alvarez will his cleanup and play third.

Neil Walker will bat fifth.

Gaby Sanchez at first base.

Brandon Inge will be the DH

Jose Tabata in RF

Clint Barmes rounds out the lineup.

The pitchers today will be James McDonald who we are really looking forward to seeing followed by Jonathan Sanchez, Jason Grilli, Mark Melancon, Tony Watson, Jared Hughes, and Justin Wilson.

Much has been written this offseason about the dynamic outfield of the Upton brothers and Jayson Heyward. Don’t forget their starters: Tim Hudson, Kris Medlen, Mike Minor, former Bucco Paul Maholm and todays pitcher Julio Teheran.

The tomahawk choppers have a big-time bullpen as well with Craig Kimbel, Jonny Venters and the mix-match deep depth that makes the Braves a tough team to play if you fail to knock out their starters.
