Jameson Taillon Treatment Plan Being Finalized

Jameson Taillon has completed the tests on the second opinion regarding pain in his right pitching elbow.  Taillon reportedly went to see Dr. Neal ElAttrache in Los Angeles on Monday.

It sounds like this is going to be complicated.

The Taillon injury broke ten days ago while in Spring Training in Bradenton.  GM Neal Huntington talked openly about the Taillon injury at the time.  But today, all is zippered up tight.

In an article on the Pirates site, Kyle Stark is quoted as saying the ball club wants to confirm the results and finalize a plan of treatment for the Pirates number one pitching prospect.

Tim Williams of Pirates Prospects broke the story, but although he tried to get comments today, everyone was mum on the subject.

It’s pretty easy to speculate wildly about Taillon.  We choose not to do anything.  We weren’t even going to do a blog post, but sometimes it’s easier when we write about bad situations that happen to good people.  It’s a way to release anger.

Dammit.  Dammit.  Dammit.  Dammit.  Dammit.  Dammit.  Dammit.  Dammit.

Dammit.  Dammit.  Dammit.  Dammit.  Dammit.  Dammit.  Dammit.  Dammit.

Dammit.  Dammit.  Dammit.  Dammit.  Dammit.  Dammit.  Dammit.  Dammit.

The Pirates have been hit with several injuries and setbacks to their talented pitching depth in the minor leagues.  But Taillon is the big story as the right hander was thought to be in Pittsburgh this summer.  The non-news news from today casts doubts on the possibility of Taillon being healthy enough to pitch in the majors in 2014.

Let’s trust that assumption is incorrect.
