According to Charlie Wilmoth of Bucs Dugout the Pirates are actively interested in trading for Joaquin Benoit.

It was a short week for the Pirates, nonetheless in their only series of the week, they came away with a key sweep of the visiting Colorado Rockies. With multiple losses by Cincinnati, St. Louis and Milwaukee, the Pirates now find themselves only one game out of first place.
