29 June. HR number thirteen: Bartolo Colon was the latest pitcher to serve up a home run ball to Alvarez. The Buccos third baseman launched it 393 feet. Video Link

5May. HR number eight: What happened before the home run is the story with this one as Alvarez took what he thought was ball four. The home plate umpire called the pitch from Yusmeiro Petit it a strike. What happened next was beautiful.

18April. HR number six: Watching Alvarez crush a ball (again) 411 feet to the opposite field is exciting for Pirates fans; but such power is dreadful for opposing pitchers. 4April. HR number two: Pedro Alvarez murdered a Shelby Miller changeup 434 feet. Pedro don’t like the changeup. Don’t like it all and had struggled against it last season. To watch him crush it completely out of PNC Park is awesome. We don’t know what the opposing pitchers are thinking after they see it. Good luck sleeping, fellas.
Just watch this El Toro Bomb entirely leave, I mean completely get launched out of PNC Park. There was absolutely no doubt about this one. Man, we could watch this GIF all night long. There was no doubt about this one, as it traveled an estimated 448 feet.
4April. HR numero uno: El Toro crushed his first home run of the season 434 feet off Shelby Miller of the St. Louis Cardinals.
