Double-A Altoona Curve

The Altoona Curve went 4-3 over the last week. This included a win at the New Hampshire Fisher Cats. Then, they went 1-2 during a visit with the New Britain Rock Cats. Next, the Curve returned home and took two of three from the Binghamton Mets.

Eastern League Western Division standings:

Altoona Curve – 28-20

Bowie Baysox – 26-24

Akron RubberDucks – 23-26

Richmond Flying Squirrels – 22-25

Harrisburg Senators – 21-28

Erie SeaWolves – 17-30

Players that stood out:

Jose Osuna was called up from Bradenton on Friday and saw action in two games. He went three for seven with two doubles, a single, and a walk while scoring two runs.

Josh Bell raised his average slightly over the past week to .343 while scattering nine hits and four RBIs and scoring four times.

Max Moroff had ten hits and raised his average to .328.

Stetson Allie had one home run to add to his team-leading seven homers. He is now hitting .214.

Jason Creasy picked up his fifth and team-leading sixth win of the season.

Angel Sanchez collected his fifth win. He leads the team in strike outs with 36.

Injury report:

Tyler Glasnow remains on the Disabled List with a sprained right ankle.

A look at next week:

The Curve are enjoying an off day Monday before they play host to the Eastern League East Division leader New Britain Rock Cats. The Rock Cats currently have a 31-18 record. Then, the Curve will head north for a four-game weekend series with the Erie SeaWolves.

We now heat up as we head south for a look at the Advanced A Bradenton Marauders.
