The Pittsburgh Pirates laid a massive egg in Milwaukee by getting swept by the last place Brewers. The Pirates weren’t able to control any of the three games and played very sloppy baseball. In addition to the bad baseball, the Pirates lost starting shortstop Jordy Mercer for six weeks with a UCL injury. There is no rest for the weary as the Pirates went from Milwaukee to Kansas City to take on the American League Central-leading Royals. The Pirates looked to rebound from the disastrous Milwaukee series with a bounceback series against the defending American League champions.
