A thank you note to Pittsburgh Pirates fans, from us

Crazy past couple of weeks, huh?

Yes it was a crazy 12 days indeed. When Tyler Waite and I were trying to think of how to cover the 2015 MLB Trade Deadline and potential Pittsburgh Pirates moves, we knew we wanted to do something special. To peel back the curtain a little bit: I was channel flipping and saw a ridiculous “Christmas in July” type of thing on QVC. As I scoffed at the ridiculous idea of pre-ordering holiday cheesecakes five months in advance, the proverbial lightbulb went off.

An idea so corny on the surface proved to be very effective, and is the reason for this post. Rumbunter.com had its *BEST* month ever for July 2015. In fact, we blew the previous record away by over 100,000 pageviews.

Moreso than the actual pageviews, we have had a hell of a time interacting with you all. Without looking at numbers, I’m confident in saying that July was our best month yet in terms of comments on pieces and interactions on all social media platform. You guys do more than just interact, you spark conversations. Good ones at that.

So we wanted to take a moment to thank you, sincerely, for making July 2015 our greatest month ever in Rumbunter. To all of those that found us this month, glad to have you aboard! To those that have been with us for awhile – THANK YOU. Thank you for telling a friend, linking our stories, and following us on twitter. Couldn’t do it without you.

We aren’t resting on our laurels. For the stretch run we have a lot planned so stay tuned.
