The Pittsburgh Pirates split a rain shorted two game series against the Chicago Cubs to start their brief, two series home stand. After maintaining their lead in the wildcard against the Cubs, the Pirates turned their attention to the NL West leading, Los Angeles Dodgers for a three game series. The Pirates looked to continue their absolute dominance over the Western division and beat another playoff contender. With three games on national television, would the Pirates show the nation they’re a legitimate World Series contender?

The series wasted no time in getting super interesting as game one featured maybe the marquee pitching match up of the entire 2015 season.
