Triple-A Indianapolis Indians

The Indianapolis Indians went 3-4 over the last week. The Indians dropped three of five games to the Louisville Bats. Then they visited the Toledo Mud Hens for two games and split the series.

International League West Division standings:

Indianapolis Indians – 79-57

Columbus Clippers – 78-58

Louisville Bats – 63-73

Toledo Mud Hens – 55-81

Players that stood out:

OF Travis Snider is batting .355 now. He had five hits and three walks.

RHP Vance Worley suffered a loss while going six innings, allowing three earned runs on nine hits, three walks and two strikeouts.

RHP Chris Volstad leads the team with eleven wins. He picked up a win while going seven innings and allowing just one earned run on five hits and five strikeouts.

RHP Tyler Glasnow had a no decision. He went six innings and allowed just one hit, two walks and five strikeouts.

INF Josh Bell is batting .347 since his call up. He had eight hits, two RBIs, seven walks, three strikeouts and one stolen base.

OF Jaff Decker saw action in four games. He picked up one hit, one walk, two stolen bases and struck out three times.

INF Dan Gamache is batting .275 since his call up. He had three hits, two RBIs, one walk and five strikeouts.

OF Gorkys Hernandez is still batting .272. He had one hit, two RBIs, one stolen base and three strikeouts.

INF Steve Lombardozzi is now batting .284. He had five hits, one walk, one stolen base and one strikeout.

OF Willy Garcia is currently batting .251. He had two hits and struck out six times.

RHP Wilfredo Boscan had a two no decisions this week. In the first start, he went 5.2 innings, giving up one earned run on six hits and six strikeouts. In the second start, he went 5.2 innings, giving up two earned runs on seven hits, one walk and two strikeouts.

INF Alen Hanson is now batting .267. He had five hits, one walk, four strikeouts and two stolen bases.

C Elias Diaz saw action in three games. He collected three hits, including a home run, two RBIs, and one strikeout. He is now batting .271.

RHP Blake Wood leads the team with twenty-eight saves.

RHP Radhames Liz saw action in two games. He threw one inning in each game, giving up three hits and three strikeouts.

C Tony Sanchez  had three hits, one walk, and one strikeout. His average is now .237 for the season.

OF Keon Broxton had eight hits, three RBIs, one walk, two stolen bases and eight strikeouts. His average is now .256.

P Brad Lincoln pitched in two games this week. He suffered a loss while going four innings and allowing five earned runs on six hits, three walks and six strikeouts. His other appearance was two innings and he allowed three earned runs on four hits, one walk and two strikeouts.

Injury Report:

RHP Angel Sanchez remained on the disabled list.

INF Kelson Brown remained on the disabled list with a sprained right ankle.

INF Gift Ngoepe remains on the disabled list with a left oblique strain.

RHP Casey Sadler remains on the disabled list with a forearm strain.

RHP John Holdzkom remains on the disabled list.

A look at next week:

The Indians will head to Columbus for two games with the Clippers. Following that road trip, the Clippers will come to Indy for two games. Then the Indians will host two games with the Toledo Mud Hens. Finally, the Indians will head to Louisville to wrap up the regular season with two game against the Bats.
