Double-A Altoona Curve

The Altoona Curve went 3-4 over the last week. The Curve took just one of three from the Reading Fightin Phils. Then, the Curve hosted the Trenton Thunder in a four game series. The Curve and Thunder split the series.

Eastern League West Division standings:

Bowie Baysox – 75-58

Altoona Curve – 71-63

Richmond Flying Squirrels – 67-65

Akron RubberDucks – 68-66

Harrisburg Senators – 64-70

Erie SeaWolves – 58-75

Players that stood out:

OF Andy Vasquez is now batting .231. He had four hits, including two home runs, four RBIs, and five strikeouts.

RHP Jason Creasy suffered a loss this week. He went 3.1 innings, allowing four earned runs on nine hits, two walks and four strikeouts.

RHP Chad Kuhl picked up his eleventh win of the season. He went six innings and allowed two earned runs on four hits, two walks and a strikeout.

LHP Zack Dodson had a no decision this week. He went five innings and allowed two earned runs on seven hits, one walk and six strikeouts.

LHP Steven Brault picked up his eighth win this week and had a no decision. In the no decision, he went seven innings and allowed one earned run on five hits, three walks and four strikeouts. In the win, he went seven innings, allowed just three hits and two strikeouts.

INF Adam Frazier had ten hits, two RBIs, four walks and five strikeouts. He saw his average climb slightly to .331.

OF Mel Rojas Jr is hitting .257. He collected six hits, two walks and struck out three times this week.

2B Max Moroff saw his average climb to .299. He collected eleven hits, four RBIs, five walks, one stolen base and five strikeouts.

OF Stetson Allie had four hits and five strikeouts and saw his average climb slightly to .204.

INF Jose Osuna had eight hits, including a home run, seven RBIs, one walk, one stolen base and six strikeouts. He is now hitting  .294.

A look at next week:

The Curve will spend the week on the road. The Curve will head to Bowie for a four game series with the Baysox. Then they finish up the regular season with a four game series with the Binghamton Mets.

We now heat up as we head south for a look at the Advanced A Bradenton Marauders.
