Winning is still fun
The Pittsburgh Pirates have not done much winning of late. So, some fans may have forgotten if winning was indeed still fun or not. Well, it definitely is.
Let’s break this series down, shall we?
Monday night’s win = fun
Tuesday night’s win = fun
Wednesday night’s loss = not fun
Not only did the Pirates pick up a series victory in Anaheim, the offense exploded in the two victories. The Pirates scored 10 runs on both Monday and Tuesday night. For most of the season the Pirate offense, which is averaging 4.7 runs per game, has been a joy to watch. This continued against the Angels.
Most fun of all, the team won some baseball games. Baseball is the greatest sport in the world. The game is even better when your favorite team wins.

Even if it is short lived, and let’s be honest it probably will be, the Pirates showed their fans that winning is still fun. You know what would be a lot of fun? Picking up another series victory this weekend against the Cubs and playing spoiler for those goons from the Windy City.
