The first team that comes to mind is the Atlanta Braves.  The Braves are in an interesting position heading into 2020.  They showed a lot of progress in 2019 and actually won the National League East. However, their division rival the Washington Nationals took home the World Series title last season, which likely will put some pressure on the Braves to improve.

The Braves already have a superstar outfielder in Ronald Acuna Jr. but he is flanked by Ender Inciarte and Nick Markakis, both of who are not known as impact bats.  The Braves also currently use the prolific Acuna in the lead of spot, by acquiring Marte and using him at the top of the lineup it could allow the team to put Acuna in more RBI situations.

For the Pittsburgh Pirates, it makes a lot of sense to deal with the Braves.  Atlanta has one of the top-ranked farm systems in baseball and would easily be able to get a deal done if they wanted too.  On top of that, the Braves have several starting pitching prospects who could make an impact on the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2020.

Looking at the Atlanta Braves they might be one of the best matchups for the Pittsburgh Pirates and a potential Marte trade. It is pretty clear that the Pittsburgh Pirate should be looking for pitching and catching help this off-season and Atlanta has plenty of that.  A potential deal could start with one of their top pitching prospects like Ian Anderson, Kyle Wright, or Bryce Wilson. Those pitchers rank numbers three, four and five in their system. They also have three catching prospects in their top 10 in William Contreras, Shea Langeliers, and Alex Jackson.  Other than Contreras, every one of those prospects is at Triple-A or has made their MLB debut.
