The 2020 Trade Deadline comes and goes and the Pittsburgh  Pirates roster does not see really any change. However there is a call up to talk about!

After weeks of trade talks, in a year where the Pittsburgh Pirates seemed to be clear sellers, the organization decided to move forward without making a trade before 4 p.m. on August 31st.

What was the decision making that went into the big day for first year general manager Ben Cherrington? How does the deadline strategy shape the upcoming offseason? Where do the Pirates stand now that the deadline is behind them?
