As beautiful as the pregame celebration was, on the diamond the Pirates did not show up Wednesday, dropping the second game of the series 8-1, taking them into a weekend series with Kansas City.

The Royals, battling the Pirates as two of the worst teams in baseball, took a first inning lead in game one and never looked back. They outscored the Pirates over the weekend 22-7, after a convincing 11-0 win in Sunday’s series finale. Yes, there are still positives to take from this series, yes they come from the glove of Ke’Bryan Hayes. The guys give their thoughts on this series as a whole and make some aggressive comparisons for the future.
