Over the weekend the Pittsburgh Pirates traveled to Cleveland and wrapped up their 2020 season by suffering yet another series loss, this one come at the hands of the Indians

Just like that, in seemingly the blink of an eye, the 2020 season is over for the Pittsburgh Pirates. It was always expcted that a 60 game season would go by quickly, but, personally, it seemed to go by even faster than anticiapted.

Unfortuantely, over the course of these 60 games the Pittsburgh Pirates went just 2-13-1 in series played. As a result, the team finished the 2020 season with just a 19-41 record. This record was the worst in baseball, and gives the Pirates the first pick in next summer’s draft.

Entering this series the Pittsburgh Pirates were playing to lock up the number one overall pick in the draft. Meanwhile, the Indians were looking to lock up the fourth seed in the American League playoffs. Both teams accomplished their missions.

So, for one last time this season, it is time to hand out series grades for the Pittsburgh Pirates. As we did throughout the season, we will grade the performance of the team’s starting pitchers, bullpen and offense in this series. Now, let’s dive in with the starting rotation receiving their grade first.
