Earlier this offseason we took a look at three players the Pittsburgh Pirates could cut ties with this offseason, here are three more candidates that could be designated for assignment.

With the conclusion of the World Series the Major League Baseball offseason is officially upon us. Now that the offseason is ready to begin, teams across Major League Baseball will have to start to make roster decisions. This will certainly included the Pittsburgh Pirates.

As general manager Ben Cherington prepares to tackle his first full offseason in charge of the Pittsburgh Pirates, he expects to have a busy offseason. Players such as Adam Frazier, Joe Musgrove, Josh Bell, and Richard Rodriguez, among others, will all find themselves discussed in trades this offseason.

The Pittsburgh Pirates are also set to lose Derek Holland and Keone Kela to free agency. Additionally, as is always the case, there are players who are non-tender candidates and candidates to be designated for assignment.

Earlier this month, Noah took a look at three players who the Pirates could non-tender this offseason. Today, we will take a look at three more players the Pittsburgh Pirates could look to move on from this offseason by examining thee candidates to be designated for assignment.
