The recent non-tender deadline left a handful of low-risk, high-reward type arms on the market. This is something the Pittsburgh Pirates should take advantage of and these four arms could be potential targets.

Recently, the deadline to avoid arbitration with players passed. Usually around this time, a handful of players are non-tendered. Some players will draw some interest now that they are free agents. This includes some players that the Pittsburgh Pirates should consider pursuing.

Many of the recent non-tendered players would be nice pick ups on low risk deals that could turn into very good signings. This is where the Pittsburgh Pirates could come into play. The Pirate pitching depth is not very deep. In the starting rotation, Joe Musgrove is the only high-impact arm, but could be traded. Steven Brault, Mitch Keller, Chad Kuhl and J.T. Brubaker have been inconsistent. Plus, Brault is also on the trading block.

In the bullpen, Richard Rodriguez had solid 2020 season. However, he and Chris Stratton are the only two proven reliable arms the Pittsburgh Pirates have.

This is an opportunity to really bolster their depth for 2021, and potentially grab an arm who could potentially be a nice trade piece come the deadline on low risk deals. Here are four pitchers who were recently non-tendered that the Pittsburgh Pirates might want to look into.
