Time to open the Pittsburgh Pirates mailbag!

In this episode of Rum Bunter Radio the crew sits down to discuss Pittsburgh Pirates fan questions submitted on social media.

Why is Adam Frazier still with the Pittsburgh Pirates?

What will the Pittsburgh Pirates do in this year’s draft?

Who will play first base for the Pirates moving forward?

Questions like these and more are answered by Marty, Nick and Trey, as they open conversation on the many headlines surrounding Pirates baseball in 2021.

It’s no secret there will be some holes on the major league roster with such a young organization, and one that is making headline trades for high value youngsters.

Who will fill these roles? A discussion begins about late offseason potential signings, and which areas the team will address first.

The trades that sent Joe Musgrove and Jameson Taillon to opposite sides of the country brought a wealth of players that have the potential to run the game down the line. As for now although, the Pirates received just a couple that can contribute right away.

David Bednar is a player that will play a role for the Pirates in 2021, and one fan wanted to know what role he will play coming out of the bullpen for Pittsburgh.

Bednar has the potential to be a “right handed Tony Watson”, a guy that sets up power arms with hard stuff of his own for the Pirates.

To close out the episode the crew discusses what could happen in the 2021 MLB draft. Will the Pirates go the high school route after their number one overall pick? With Kumar Rocker being the assumed number one overall pick the Pirates will still be able to get solid value out of the remainder of their picks and the guys project who they will decide on.

Batten down the hatches, clear the decks and open the mailbag in this week’s episode of Rum Bunter Radio.
